Chartwell Value Opportunities is a long/short fundamental value equity hedge fund that invests in U.S. small and mid-cap companies.  CVO was launched in January of 2009 and is managed by a four person investment team within $7.9 billion Chartwell Investment Partners. The team’s approach is driven by fundamental research to distinguish value from value traps, and has demonstrated the ability to generate significant alpha on both the long and short side of the portfolio since inception.  The portfolio is comprised of 10 to 20 long positions and 5 to 15 short positions and has exhibited a low correlation to relevant indices as well as other hedge funds.
